Yesterday, I received, in the mail, from Hunter Marine a brief letter, 2 pages of a diaghramed instructions, 4 bolts, 4 nuts and 8 washers. The letter stated there has been a problem with deck to hull separations... And I should drill 4 holes and install the bolts, 2 in the bow and two in the stern, to help prevent the separation from occuring. I have a 2002 H260, and they want me to drill holes in her? And why only 4 bolts? With a 3 foot chop on the water, the boat can take a heck of a beating. Why not install a bolt every foot along the sides of the deck. I could install a metal toe rail.If there's anything that makes me nervous, it's this kind of stuff. Is everyone getting these instructions, or just the 2002's?
