I lost the upper batten early this season. I have decided to purchase a full set in the event I lose the others. I called Hunter who refered me to Doyle. While I'm waiting for the return call....has anyone found a good (quick) source for full main sail battens? I would appreciate your help. ThanksKevin

I have not needed to do that but if I did, I would contact the vendor who occasionally cleans and stores my sails. I think they replaced one of my battens last winter during service. They are located in Havre de Grace, MD but provide the service including pick up and delivery through various marinas around here. I'm sure there's a similar operation up your way.

Kevin, I ordered 3/4 in batten stock from West

Marine. It comed in 10' sticks and you cut to size. I also bought their batten end caps for the aft end of the batten. Don't put one on the for end as it will just come off deep in the sail.After you have your new stock drill a small hole in the aft end about 3/8 of an inch in. I then run a small nylon line through the hole and tie it to the velcro flap cover. No more last battens.RayS/V Speedy
