Any suggestions, comments or photos on fire extinguisher mounting locations would be greatly appreciated! That can include both cockpit and cabin. Thank you!

Same with my 1998 H260

Mine are in almost the same locations as George's, except the one mounted near the steps is mounted much higher in my companionway. I have often thought, though, that it would be good to have one in a cockpit lazarette instead of the companionway. Hope that helps.

My H33.5 has 4

Different boat, different floorplan but I've got one mounted to the steering pedestal (with large hose clamps) because my engine is under the companionway and a fire there could prevent me from reaching in to the one in the galley. One in the aft cabin because there is only 1 way out (past the engine) and one in the forward cabin. I'm also planning on boring a 1" diameter hole (with cover) in the forward engine enclosure panel (behind the steps) so I can check the engine compartment and empty a fire eqtinguisher into it without completely removing it and exposing the rest of the boat to the flames. I might even put this "peep hole" in all 3 exposed sides of my engine compartment. Keep in mind the typical boat fire extinguisher will give you 10-15 seconds of discharge. That may not be enough, the more the merrier. Tom s/v Orion's Child

By Stairs & Cockpit

One is in the companionway by the stairs like George's. I put the second one in the cocpit port lazarette by attaching it to the emergency tiller with hose clamps.
