Can anyone comment on which autopilot(s) work well with a wheel-equipped 2004 model H260?

Nice Looking Autopilot

Jim, That looks really good - I've sailed charter boats with that model and it's pretty good. What is your opinion of the performance of it in rough air/water? David

Thank You, Darren - I'll look into the Simrad WP-30 unit. I am in the process of putting a down payment on a new H260 right now. Can't wait!! David

Performed really well until the waves got over 6ft

With a quartering roll. We were on the Chesapeake with a 25kt tail wind and driving the waves all night long. Otherwise than that the 4000 did very well in all kinds of wind and waves. I was very surpised with its abilitly in a light boat. My wife really like the auto tack feature, since I could tack and move forware to switch the jib and leave her alone with her book. 4000

I like my 4000+. I singlehand alot and use the autotack feature for tacking and jibing. Very handy. Have had the clutch lever come loose a couple of times though. May try to put some locktite on the screw.
