I just had a $5000 insured repair to my H26 due to a bad crack in the hull apparently due to my leaving my centerboard down on the mooring. Don't do it!!! Apparently, my centerbaord in the down position which is about 6 foot deep got caught on the bottom, about 6 feet down at low tide and through wave and tide action torqued enuf pressure to put a severe crack in the hull forward of the centerboard well which breached the water ballast area. I got water in the cabin though the vent hole only, which was the first sign of trouble.Advice, always pull up centerboard when at rest.
