What the specs for the sail slide on the main sail

I'm trying to order replacements and I'm not sure what size to get.

I brought one back from the boat that is broken ( 2hrs away) and I'm not absolutely sure I can match it to the specs I find on product retailer websites.

The one I need to replace ( and want to buy spares ) is one that clips on to the main sail. It's not sewn into the sail like some other on my main sail. The clip and the slide are nylon/plastic. The product websites want the dimensions of the slide. Since the one I brought back with me as a broken off slide I'm not sure I can pick out the right ones to get.

I have a 1996 H26. I just purchased it. I'm located in the Rep. of Panama and I can just walk into a sail shop because are none to speak of. I need to order from the US.

Sail Slug

Since you have one with you, just measure the part that slides up the mast slot.

You can order one on-line from your favorite retailer.

Either of the slides listed on this page will work. I prefer the one with the metal bail. slug link

The shackle that holds the slug to the sail is also available. Here is one style:

ah but the slug is broken off..
"slug" a good description.

guess I'll just have to cruise on out to the coast again and get the measurement of the slug. Had hoped that a H26 owner would spot this
