H26 rail diameter?

I wanted to buy some rail cleats and I need to know if the rails on the H26 are 7/8" or 1" diameter.

It seems these kind of questions always come up when I go to order something for the boat. My problem is the boat is stored 2 hrs from here and there's no one I can call to check for me.

7/8 rail

Just bought a 1994 H26 and had it surveyed for insurance. The guy told me that my rails were 7/8 inch. Hope this helps.

Hum now I'm not sure again. I was down to the boat since posting this. I held a tape measure up across the rail and it "looked" to be 1". Could there be a difference between a 1994 and my 1996??? I wonder how much difference it will make if I purchase a rail cleat 1/8" too big or too small. I use to live just south of you near Minot, ND. Great city Winnipeg, great parks

It's tough to eyeball a diameter like that. My 1" shaft looks to be 1 1/8 with that method. Calipers etc is a better method. Use a crescent wrench, snug it down and measure the gap.
