h26 Jib Problem

I´ve forgotten the name for the little wire leader that is attached to the tack of the jib, but mine often winds up getting tangled up with the bow cleat when raising the jib. This means a trip forward. Have any 26 owners had this problem? Did you solve it? How? David King "Molly"

tack pennant

Its called a tack pennant. Is it loose? Thats one way it could snag on the cleat. The jib should be hoisted tight on the furling unit. If its loose you need to hoist your jib higher, or get a shorter tack pennant.
