Hey all
Replacing gray interior side panel in my boat with white vinyl.
Any ideas on how to attach. Do I have to remove old or can I
place over top.running out of ideas. What is thickness of side panel
To hull?

Larry;

It appears there are a couple of problems. First, that is a grey carpet glued to the hull which you can pull off but be careful as some is tucked under that interior upper white ceiling pan. It was referred to as mouse fur by some in the industry.

It looks like it is water stained and you will need to find the source of that leak and one possibility is the fixed window. Look outside to see if the seal is bad. You may have to take the window off, clean the old caulk off and then reapply with sealant which is 100% pure silicon architechual grade only but I forget the specific one. Hey Guys, please tell him what it is.

As for the glue, some used liquid nails but sparingly and trowel it out. Unless someone else has an option for the glue. I would avoid a white carpet though as it will show stain and dirt. Even the glues might show thru it.

Just found out that Velcro sticks quite nicely to the fabric. The first mate will
Sew up white vinyl covering to go overt the fabric.

I can recaulk, but how do you remove big window?

I've seen some H260's that have wooden veneer panels instead ( or on top of the insulating carpet. ) I believe it was a factory option .
Does anybody know if you can still buy these panels or how they are attatched.

The wooden panels around the windows were not a factory option but sounds like a former owner install of some sort. I do not recall that being an option but oh my memory is afflicted by CRS or CRAFT.

I have seen two H260 with the same wood panels were the felt lining is on my boat, so I thought it might have been an option. Maybe a dealer upgrade because they both had the same look.
The H260 just lends itself to certain upgrades.
