BTW: I found this unit at Lowe's for $319. I also looked at Home Depot and two other local appliance stores as well as two pawn shops and craig's list. All of the other units I found were to large and/or required regular draining. This is a 5000 BTU unit designed to cool 250 ft^2. It seems that they jump to 10,000 BTU and 400ft^2 as the next level up.

I’ll probly use some bathroom caulk to seal up the exit and then goof off the sticky from the duct tape

Glad it worked out with the portable,never like the ones in washboards as Dave said because of getting in and out of boat I,ve sailed with mine for ten yrs now no problems sail.Suggestion I have mine sitting in plastic container with drain open catches what little water is exhaust as dont stay on boat as much.safe season
