I have the mahogany trapezoidal hatch I made for Diana before changing my mind and building an all-new one from scratch. This is really just a cover, epoxied and varnished mahogany with a 1/2" piece of white Plexiglas spanned over top. It is about 2-3/4" high. It has two integral ribs for stiffness and is designed to take a Vetus 'UFO' ventilator or similar-sized solar vent in the middle. However I did not cut the hole and so it will keep out the weather as-is.
I pulled out the #8 screws (being cheap) and the 5200 is still holding the plastic on. One should replace the screws if it's to be used again. It may need wet-sanding and more varnish (I used Captain's). I do not know how to hinge it to the deck but one might use the boat's original hinges and see if it works.
(The one I settled on instead is like that on the Cherubini 44 and required cutting a bigger, rectangular hole out of the deck and building wooden casework. This is almost done.)
I can send photos if you are seriously interested; just e-mail.
