With the motor and battery on the same side my Hunter 240 has a noticeable permanent list to starboard. even with the Fresh water tank full it is still there. Has anyone else resolved this issue? ( second battery port side is an option of course but looking for ideas).

On my 25.5 Hunter - my battery and the engine was on the port side and it listed to the starboard side even if the starboard water tank was empty. I never checked - but it may be that your mast is not exactly vertical. you can test that by extending the main halyard from one side to the other toe rail and see if it longer on one side.

I have the same problem with my H-23. My battery, motor, and water tank is on the port side. I thought about moving the battery to the starboard side, but I ended up loading heavier items I keep on the boat to the starboard side (tools etc.). This helped balance it out quite a bit........Mark

On my 25.5 I have two batteries and the engine on the port side. On the starboard side I have the navigation wall, the galley including the microwave and in the bunker under the seat are 12 gallons (2xsix gallon tanks) of mixed gas, along with all the cleaning products. I rarely fill the water tank, but when I do, that is when I see a listing to the starboard side. I will check with the halyard to see if my mast is centered. Never thought of that. Always learning something new.

Batteries to port!

Same boat but two batteries and I moved them as far port as possible. No noticable heel with the water tank full. We shoot for 50 degrees when the wind is up!
