Recently returned from trailering our 2001 H240 "Glad Tidings" to/from Lake of the Ozarks, MO; boat trailers superbly and night sailing under full moon was the highlight of our family reunion. USCG Aux caught up to me upon return to perform annual safety inspection during which I could not get runnig lights nor bilge pump to work. All had operated normally while on the Lake. Battery checked charged, other lights worked, running lights bulb filaments visually inspected normal, breakers not tripped, and no evidence of broken wires/connections. Looking for similar occurrence and in particular the remedy from other sailors who've experienced this or otherwise know a lot more on electrical systems than my elementary/junior high level cicuitry.

Have same problem with my bigle pump, works at home and not when I am near any water. Have to swap power sources. Will look for the problem this weekend and hope to have answers for both of us..

Eureka my electrical glitch gone
I found that the jumper wire between the switch and the circuit breaker (CB) was faulty (supplied my bildge pump, kinda important!). It would only take the slightest wiggle to get it working and sometimes a lot ofa wingle to get it not to work, thus each time I would swap over something it would fix it, put it back to original configuration and still work, then try it down the road and not working again
. The compression connection wire to lug looked fine, no corrosion and had metal to wire contact, but they had crimpped it to hard and actually cut the lug through the insulation withiout cutting the insulation (clever fellas), therefore the outer insulation was holding it together. Enogh ranting, hope it is that simple for you. A multi meter was a big help solving this one.

Thanks for your response. Had the boat out this weekend for daylight sailing, but checked the lights anyway... they worked. Think I'll inspect behind the breaker panel, too, for the integrity of the connections.
