Looking for a source and size for sheet bags for my 1986 h23. I plan to store my sheets in them at dock. Less than 10' with my roller, furler. Also store my main sheet halyard in the starboard one when I get it run back to the cockpit. Does any one recommend the mesh type over a sunbrella material with a top flap? Thanks, Charles

I purchased a Blue Performance sheet bag for my 1987 Hunter 23' two seasons ago. It is aproximately 12' x 8", I think it was a SMALL size. It is silver with navy accents and has a mesh bottom, ridgid sides, and a "rain coat" hood that stretches up over the bag and has a draw string that snugs the cover up nicely. The little hood keeps everything dry at dock. I installed it very quickly with a power drill and the four clips & screws.

I placed the bag just to the right of my companion way door and it is a perfect fit for my main sail which runs back to my cockpit through a brake above and my furling jib line which is attached to the starboard of my boat. In addition, the entire bag can be removed from the clips when needed. I take it off and wash it at the end of the season leaving the screws in place.

I don't remember where I purchased it from but it was about $30 and the quality is excellent.

Be carefull with the Blue Performance bags. They look awesome but do not stand up to UV as well as others. If you get them, at least remove them during the off season or when away from the boat for more than a couple of weeks.

Thanks every one for the input. Its always good to have a couple of new outlets for getting our boat supplies. I think I will hold out for what I really want is 2 bags in navy sunbrella material with flaps. I have a friend making me a companion way, hatch cover now from material I ordered so that may be my only choice.

I do my own sewing. I've made several things from sunbrella material. Sheet bags are not a complected project. It should be easy to get what you want from your friend.
