I am wondering if anyone out there has tried to recreate the h 23 logo that appears on the main sail of early Hunter 23's. I found out that the font was Albertus Medium which I was able to download but I do not know how big the script needs to be. That is to say, I need to know how tall the letter and the numbers were. Does anyone have any idea???

Well this is not the most scientific approach but I did some graphic estimating and got this

It looks to me that the "h" in the logo is 1/17th of 23' or 1.35'

OR... you could ask someone on here to measure their's

As Dave suggests, almost any sail loft will have a data base of sailboat insignias that they can re create.

The h23 logo looks different from the h235.
This is the best image I could find so far.

The script is positioned a bit differently depending upon the sail maker. However, the font is Albertus Minimus. Thanks for sending.

I’m with Dave on this one. My main was like the one rgranger posted except without the 5. I’m pretty sure mine was original since it was pretty baggy. I’d post a picture but y’all would rag me about too many deficiencies in it.

Good estimating technique, however, the boat with the H 23.5 logo is not a Hunter 23.5!
