My new 1993 H23.5 was found with water near bottom step after half inch rain. Boat was setting on level trailer then...it bow up now.
I 'm asking where the most likely place it came from....?
Novice question. There was enough water where the cooler is located under settee in cabin was floating, also the sink, which had plug in it, had two inches .
Is there a gasket for companionway..? is there a water proof cover for cabin entrance.
I had placed the green cloth cover, with snaps, over this area before rain but it wasnt water proof as I thougth.
Any suggestion would be appreciated....my new boat lost a little of its glow..lol
Not as dry in cabin, I had asked about before purchase, as the broker wanted me to believe...not good but something I can/must live with .
I'm certain there is an answer others may have found useful for my problem.....txs in advance..mark h.

How much water?

It was unclear from your post how much water we're talking about. Dampness, a puddle, an inch?

Flooding inside

Bow up, Bow down, it didn't seem to matter much with mine. The forward stop on the the slider has to be sealed and resealed to keep water from leaking in. The front hatch also leaked. I keep a top cover on the boat now and that stops all the leaks. I also picked up about a half gallon to a gallon of water a week from condensation in Florida. I put a dehumidifier in that now keeps the boat bone dry. The dehumidifier can drain a inch of water out of the bilge in a day..Great for keeping the cushions dry and mildew off the ceiling.
