H23.5 Head Sail Question (want to go racing!)

I'm tired of racing on other peoples boats...Its time to take the 23.5 to the course! A year ago I had the stock headsail (100% Jib) modified to work with my CDI furler. Does anybody race with this setup? Is it enough headsail for light wind conditions? If anybody is currently racing a 23.5 or a 240 could you please give me some feedback on modification you have made to make the boat more competitive. I will start racing in the spring. Thanks

Beau;If you wish to sail, you have enough sail with the standard jib and main as the main is larger due to no back stay.I put CDI systems on all my boats as the cost is reasonable and there is nothing to dismantle when taking down the mast. If you are going to race, make sure you have the mast tuned for any slack in the shrouds is not good.The big thing to remember is any heel over13-15 degrees will cost you performance. As I have always said, you sail faster flatter due to the hull design. I sailed the first 23.5 and 240 that left Hunter in races and usually won even against other "racing " and bigger boats.For light wind, consider a spinnaker andgo have fun. Happy sailing
