I recently purchased a Hunter 22 1981, but without trailer. I have an option to buy a trailer for the MacGregor 25. Will the trailer from the MacGregor work with the Hunter 22?

I think the weight rating would be to small if the MacGregor was a water ballast boat. You have to carry the Hunters' 3200lbs, trailer weight and extra equipment. Loaded you might have a GVW of 4500# Check the trailers' load rating. Good Luck.

Look for a trailer with dual axles and surge brakes, if you really are on a budget like i was, I made my own trailer. I ended up making my own trailer bunks and brackets for my H22 out of an older stern drive boat, the bunks weren't in the right spots, so i ended up cutting them off and making my own. I welded brackets and carpeted my own bunks.
