Still trying to get a trailer for my hunter 22. I've been trying to find out how far below the hull does the keel/centerboard extend when in the retracted position?
Another way to ask this is, how much keel clearance does a proper trailer need to have? Or I could ask it this way too, How high do the bunks on a trailer need to raise the hull above the trailer so that the keel does not touch the trailer?
I know my boat has a 23" draft, per the owners manual, but I'm more interested in an exact number here. I'm guessing that the keel draws 12" below the hull bottom, but If I'm going to buy a $2800 brand new trailer then I want to make sure that my measurements are correct.
Can any of you other H22 owners help?
Thanks,
Kristopher
