Do any of you H22 owners know what the part number is for the light bulb in the H22 steaming light. I plan to unstep my mast for some maintenance and plan to replace the steaming light bulb while the mast is down. Thanks for any help.

RE: steaming light

Hello Bud, I don't know the part number but the bulb is a pretty common one found in automotive uses. It has the base that pushes in and turns and has two little pins on the side that hold it in the socket. I was having trouble with mine before I launched and had to troubleshoot the whole thing. I found that the bulb wasn't my problem but the plug had just enough corrosion to not make contact. Use some vaseline or WD-40 on the plug and in the socket and you should be good to go. Should be able to find the bulb at an auto parts store or West Marine. I will look and see if I have a spare for the number so you can get it before you get the mast down. Jim

Look for LED replacements

Bud, if you haven’t replaced it already look to see if there is an LED that is a direct replacement. The big advantages are longer bulb life and considerably less draw. I’ve replaced ALL of the navigation lights on my H23 with NO regrets. Bob

Good idea

Thanks for the LED idea. I'll check to see if there is a direct replacement.
