Hi all,

In the 216 rigging instructions, it is noted that the forestay should be fixed to the after-most hole in the fitting at the bow. Has anyone moved it forward to increase the tension on the jib luff? I would just go ahead, but I suspect that the mast will be tensioned forwards ... reducing any rake-to-aft advantage.

I have the outer shrouds at ~35 (on the Loos tensiometer) and the inners at ~25. If the forestay is moved forwards, I would guess that thee should also change ...

Any advice?

With most forward chain plates, many of the furling drums if secured to the most forward hole will be standing up straight due to the design of the chain plate when it needs to be angled. This is why as a former dealer instructing my customers to always secure the furling drum to the most aft hole to prevent that.
