H170 rudder repair question

Did any of you guys ever had to do a rudder repair ?

Recently my rudder board took a bit of a tumble from a high shelf onto the concrete floor of my garage. The leading-edge bottom corner broke off, the piece is about 2" across.

I'm interested if somebody tried doing a similar repair using glass cloth overlay. The broken piece looks like it can be attached right back on with some two-part epoxy.

Any feedback much appreciated.
