Any 356 or H36 owner know how the original transducers [depth & speed]cables are routed to the binnacle. I was at the boat today trying to trace the existing transducer cables and it looks like [maybe] one goes to the breaker panel. I have to take apart the binnacle maybe. They both work fine so I`m not disturbing them, however I bought a new Raymarine E97 chartplotter and I want to install a new n-hull depth / fish finder transducer. This E97 has built in sonar so I just plug in the transducer. The advantage with the in-hull of course is no drilling holes in the hull.It has a 30 foot cable so I`m hoping its long enough. Any suggestions where to install the new in-hull transducer. I considered placing it in aft cabin area ,perhaps directly behind engine compartment. There is room aft where the prop shaft exits,in that tunnel area.
Any feedback is appreciated.
