H-356 transducer routing help

Any 356 or H36 owner know how the original transducers [depth & speed]cables are routed to the binnacle. I was at the boat today trying to trace the existing transducer cables and it looks like [maybe] one goes to the breaker panel. I have to take apart the binnacle maybe. They both work fine so I`m not disturbing them, however I bought a new Raymarine E97 chartplotter and I want to install a new n-hull depth / fish finder transducer. This E97 has built in sonar so I just plug in the transducer. The advantage with the in-hull of course is no drilling holes in the hull.It has a 30 foot cable so I`m hoping its long enough. Any suggestions where to install the new in-hull transducer. I considered placing it in aft cabin area ,perhaps directly behind engine compartment. There is room aft where the prop shaft exits,in that tunnel area.
Any feedback is appreciated.

My 2 cables go up above the breaker panel and than up into above the companionway where my gauges are.
I just replaced the 2 transducers so can add sonar /fish finder to my C-80.big
mistake and should have just changed out old depth transducer for new one
for sonar.
I used the the old cables to fish and spliced new wires back to panel with new wires and cut to old wires.than fished sonar cable back and up to chartplotter.

Hey Nick,
Raymarine told me you cannot cut and splice transducer cables without causing major issues, you have to use ray extensions (not cheap) like $80 for 10 ft cable extension.
I know the cable is routed to the pedestal from the breaker panel area, but how and where is it routed from the panel to the pedestal.
Thanks

My cables go down the port side - there's a chase there - behind the panel, head,on the inboard side of the large lazarette, then inboard under the cover over the steering gear.
It's OK to cut the cables as long as you carefully splice them back together. It was done on Escape with Raymarine's blessing and has worked fine for 12 years

Hey Chuck
That cable routing info is exactly what I was looking for.Thanks.I'm glad to of your cable splice success. I sure dont want to spend $80 for 10 ft piece.
I saw your listing on yachtworld. Your pride in ownership comes through in that listing. Whoever buys that boat is getting a superbly outfitted boat. Are you still getting a H41.

Hey Richard, thanks! Yes, she's been a labor of love, and parting will be difficult, but life changes - and this is for the better! Escape has been a wonderful companion, but we really need a bigger boat - our son-in-law is 6'5" and really doesn't fit below. Coincidently, one of our best friends is also 6'5", and we were on a DS45 at the Newport show last year and were discussing how great it would be if we had a boat we all fit on so we could sail together. My admiral suggested we think about sharing a boat, and it was like someone switched on a light! Peter and Sue fit well on the boats we're looking at - in the aft cabin, and Judy and I fit perfectly in the forward pullman berth cabin. The larger boat has plenty of room for kids and grandkids, is faster, and we halve our maintenance cost and work by sharing it. So, Escape and Peter's 33.5 are up for sale, and we're shopping for a DS41 or a 44AC. We're very active in the Maine Hunter Sailing Association and often sail together anyway. Peter (founding Commodore) and I (current Commodore) have very similar approaches to maintenance and sailing and our families get along well. So, a new adventure begins!

BTW, we've found the boat we want to buy so we've reduced the prices on both boats to stimulate sales

Can't cut the cables for the sonar/fishfinder and need extension cable, can cut only for temp, depth, speed and that is what I did.
PVC pipe along the port side from the panel all the way to rear stern compartment and than up to steering as chuck said.
