I am looking for 2 integral toe rail stancion mounts for my 1984 Hunter 34. These stanchion mounts "wrap around" the toe rail and attach by the toe rail / hull to deck bolts. The standard "replacement" mounts I see advertised look nothing like those on my '84 34. Has any one any suggestions? (please, refrain from the replace all the mounts type of response) Thanks for any help locating these mounts. TW

Hunter Marine returned call

OK, Mike from Hunter Marine called to say the company that made the toe rail and stanchion base no longer makes these. Does anyone no of any 1984 Hunter 34's being scrapped out? Any scrap yards for boats that might have these? Only other option is to have them fabricated. I am going to my Marine Metaltech place to check this out. I'll let you know what I find. TW

Tops in quality undoubtedly has your base. They have the prints for all of the early Hunters as far as I know. I believe the early 34 used the same base as the 33 did. The base forms almost an "L" shape with a vertical fece bvolted through the toe rail, and the horizontal portion bolted througthe deck. You'll have to give them the angle off of vertical from the deck. Easy enough to do with a kid's protractor. I had my replacement made as separate base and pole. About $50.00 each . This way if I bend it again I replace only the pole portion. There are plenty of references here in the archives. topsinquality.com if I recall.

Yep, that's the address.

I went to that site a year or two ago. They work in stainless. The H34 bases are aluminum extrusions. I didn't call them. Let us in on your conversation TW.
