Has anyone attempted to replace the line that operates the outhaul? I have Kenyon spars, and don't know what is inside of the boom.

Yeah, its a pain in the @ss. On my 31 we had to drill out the rivets to get inside the boom to replace a broken block that makes it 2:1. I increased it to 6:1 and riveted it back.

Outhaul...
Ed, a previous owner removed the 2:1 block set up. My outhaul now runs internally to the front of the boom, out the port turning sheave and back about two feet to a cleat. To tighten it, one belays the free end on the cleat and pulls down on the slack between the sheave and cleat, takes up the slack and cleats in.
