Got my backsplash done. I wanted to protect the new cushions/upholstry. Found those neat holders . Had to recess them into the fiddle rail.. the magic of a multitool is perfect for doing that!

I have been thinking how I wanted to do this task. It looks good. I really like the smoked glass look.

Thanks, guys. it is 1/4" smoked acrylic to match the little sliding doors of the cabinets. Ron, I think the clips are like the 816 ones in brushed, cast 304 ss. The top edge was router-ed to a "bull nose" then sanded then flame polished. Took a little practice (on scrap) to get the torch application correct, but it ended up much faster to do the edge that way instead of abrasive polishing. used this little torch: http://www.harborfreight.com/butane-micro-torch-60645.html
with its small flame tip to be able to control the polishing. ..

Back splash

I have a 07 H-36 and got the splash guard from a 07 H-38 that hunter uses
on the bigger boats and they use the same stainless mounting and made nice install and we love that it is just the right size for our boat.
Was not cheap but quick and easy for me and most things I do myself but
making the splash guard was not one of them.
You did a nice job for sure.
