I read on this site about installing velcro onto the slide rail for the Lexan lid. I do not remember who's idea it was or who wrote it up but I'll buy him a round or two should we ever meet.I did the yearly refit of the cover and installed the soft side of the velcro material to the entire rail. That is about 6 feet per side. The material is 3/4 inch wide. Do not use the spike 1/2 of the material, and, the velcro needs to be 1 piece per side. Then shim up the fiberglass forward cover the same heigth as the velcro is thick. It you don't then the wood on the front of the Lexan hits the bottom of the fiberglass. I used the self sticking type of velcro 3/4 inch wide and the cost was about $16 at ACE hardware. I also cleaned and waxed the cover with "Mirrorglase".It slides like a dream. There is absolutly no good way to explain how easy it is to move after adding this!!!Thank you to whoever had this idea and passed it on.RayS/V Speedy
