The wheel thing...
I've had the wheel now for 6 trips, with winds ranging from 0 to 30 knots. Tiller is a bit easier to use in very high winds, which is fine as my steering config allows for a quick change back and forth to either. (mind you, into the wind and sails luffing) The wheel rules. Period. I like being able to let go the wheel and grab a sandwich or go forward for a few without the boat trying to immediately round up. Also the tiller isn't there to chase people around. The cup holders on top of the pedastal are welcome by all as well. It's probably not as good as the tiller for racing, but I don't race her, so it's not an issue. A bigger boat won't make much difference. The cockpit on my H22 is as big or bigger than some boats 26 to 30 feet that I've seen.
