Greetings all- A friend just gave me a Hunter 22 that was abandoned by his pier then sunk. I have raised the boat, but have no way of getting it out of the water to fix the hull. I am looking for a suitable trailer (used if possible). Any info about specs for a suitable trailer would also be appreciated. I keep getting asked how much keel clearance is required. Can anyone help?

Not sure, am new to this as well...

I just bought a H22 which needs LOTS of attention. When you are asking about 'keel clearance', I assume you are asking about the keel brought up all the way and ready for trailering. I don't have my boat here, but memory tells me it may be only 8" +/-. I have an owners manual for an '83, but it is pretty generic and covers a lot of models with only a page or so devoted to the H22. If my boat becomes too much of an issue for me, I may have a trailer available, but I am in Texas.

Mark Gibson Hunter22 "Dilly Dally"

about 12"

My 1984 Hunter22 sits on the original trailer that was made for it by Magic tilt. There seems to be about 10-12 inches from the bottom of the boat to the board that the keel sits on. I can measure it in the morning and repost the results if you want me to. Mark
