H 19 Stability limits?

Can anyone tell me what the maximum (safe) heel angle is for an H 19? Also how "self righting" is it, and if swamped, is there enough flotation to keep it from sinking? (Sounds like tales from the dark side.) But, it would be nice to know. Had a great day sailing on Penobscot Bay here in Maine yesterday, lots of rail down stuff. That's what brought up these questions.

Gino, I can't say what the greatest heel angle

is that you can reach on your boat but on our 95 H26 we reached 19 degrees last weekend with a 2d reefed main and about 60 percent jib. The boat was hauling butt and when the wind got stiffer the sails just spilled out the access with very little additional heel. Pull the main in real hard. I finally learned that the boat won't tip over, unless I'm very, very stupid. It will just lean and spill air. Ray sv Speedy

H 19 Stability

We frequently sail at about 20 degrees in our H 19 and in a puff will heel over to 30 or so. That's about as far as we care to go!
