Hi Folks! I have just purchased a sloop rigged 41' Morgan OI and need to bring it home from Port Canaveral, Florida, to Wilmington, NC. As my crew all have "real" jobs and their time is somewhat limited, I hope to transit offshore as much as possible and duck into the waterway if weather gets gnarly. I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have to help me plan this trip! Thanks!

Gulf stream in March

Last year we (2 people total) brought a 37.5 Hunter from N.C. TO JACKSONVILLE Fl. in 2.5 days via the I.C. stopped overnight every night. Motored and sailed from 6:00 AM TO 7:30 The CAPE is 1.5 days easy South of Jacksonville. Good luck But with a new untried boat and March fronts I would go the I.C. THERE ARE NOT A LOT OF PLACES TO DUCK INTO WITHOUT LOCAL KNOWLEDGE.
