It's art and it's doing just what it's intended to do. It's getting people to talk about it. Think of a few TV commercials. The more absurd they are, the more we remember them. Their intended purpose?
I think it's pretty cool for it's intended purpose. I wonder if it has navigation lights on it?
Look at that skinned human innards art show from China making the rounds now. Now that's controversial. I gotta see that one.

Keep it up,

If you look closely, it doesn't even have a working rudder. I don't believe it has ever actually had sails up. Somethings have been lost in translation. It has a small outboard to make its performance and it motors back home. Take a look at the keel in the gallery photo, there are molded eyes for hanging it in a gallery. It was meant as sculpture with a few occasional "in water" photo ops.

Well, back to the originial question. I'd estimate a PHRF of about 800. Downwind only : )

To me, it kinda looked like it should be a committee boat.

Keep it up,

Dido WTF!! why would ANYBODY waste their time doing something a bone headed as this?? ....someone has far too much time on their hands and couldn't come up with a better way to waste it.
Including ourselves, for actually viewing and discussing this piece of "art!" :)

Two observations explaining the quest (at least to me):

1) Appears to be steered with a rotating saildrive like an outboard. Means it can't be sailed and is therefore a POWERBOAT. Figures.

2) Unlike most art, this thing is only displayed/viewed with the arteeest on board. Pure attention ho.
