This is from early this morning. Slushy snow coming down. Just got the boat back to the house yesterday and was hoping for a day of dry weather to unload her before towing over to winter storage. I was even wearing my BEER 2013 T shirt but it didn't help...

Ya, that's a snowball I'm holding. I told Shane (BEER cruise leader) it was headed his way - think I could make Pensacola? :)

Now I know why my Aunts and Uncles moved to Florida in their early 20's (Miami and Melbourne).
Not sure why my Father didn't follow the rest of his family... He sure didn't like snow, gauging from the various expletives he used to describe it.

What's winter storage? I have one friend in Beaufort SC that claims not to know what a "snow shovel" is - never seen one.
Next time we head south I plan to drop one off at his place as a joke :)

Better yet, get him a 'Roof Rake'

That will blow his mind.....:)

Edit: Just in case some of you southerners don't understand roof rake. It's a lot of fun to use.....

Coming from ND many years ago, I always like the statement "I'm going fur enough south until someone ask me what that plug is sticking out of my grill".

Jim, I had to look up that "roof rake" thing. I have to admit that I didn't know what you were talking about. Up here north of the M-D line we build our roofs to carry the snow load - no raking necessary!

As a roofer in a previous life, we often don't provide for possible ice dams. ;)

That would put me south of Key West. I'm going to need Rosetta Stone!
