This was originally posted in the Hunter Owners section will little response. My boat came with Grunert cold plates for both the refrigerator and freezer. From what I have been told although the company has gone out of business these are still very desirable systems to have. They will only operate off of shore power or my Genset as far as I know. I would be curious to hear from other owners of these systems..Also are cold plates still state of the are systems for cruisers or have they been surpassed with 12 volt systems? Since my boat is a weekend lake cruiser we are using the freezer as a "Beer Fridge" careful not to accidentally freeze precious beer with the occasional exploding Beer tragedy. Also for those on the hook allot..how often do you have to run the Genset and for how long? My 8KW Genset only has 133 hrs so far....
