1. My boat has a bronze ground plate on the outside of the hull but the
engine and electrical system are grounded instead to an external zinc
mounted near the ground plate. Is there any disadvantage to this system?
Right now the bronze plate is connected to nothing.
2. My only bilge pump is a Rule 800 and I want to install a manual pump.
Any advice on how to do this in a manner that does not impose on the
cockpit?
