Gross Tonnage

Does anyone know the Gross Register Tonnage (GRT) rating of the Catalina 320?Gross Register Tonnage is a volumetric measure used by the USCG for documentation and licensing. This is not the displacement, which is a weight measure.--Ron

Not an expert but....

If your looking for volumetric displacement, that can be calculated. If your Cat320 displaces 11,700 pounds of water, using 62 lb/ft^3 water density, you find that your volumetric displacement is about 189 ft^3. Now, I have no idea if this fits the definition, but maybe that will help.

That's weight displacement, not Gross Tonnage as the USCG (and other international bodies) define it.--Ron
