Groco Accumulation tank

I own a 36' 1981 Hunter racing sloop. Both the starboard and port water tanks are molded into the hull, and both have a inspection hole on top of the tanks, with a rubber gasket around the inside of the cap which seals the hole. Are these water tanks actually pressurized by the water pump, or does the pump just pull water from the tanks? The reason I ask is I purchased a Groco accumulation tank to add to the system in order to prevent the water pump from cycling on and off so frequently. Will this work? Your thoughts will be appreciated. Thank you

Yes, it will. The tanks are not pressurized, they are vented, or else the pump wouldn't be able to suck the water from the tank. It goes: tank, pump, faucets.

And it's an accumulator.
