In August of 2006 we purchased our first boat (formerly "Descheo" from Maryland) and motored her home to New Jersey. Whew, what an experience, but needless to say we're becoming old hands thankfully with the help of this site! Currently our "Lonesomedove" (new name) is up for the winter and undergoing a huge transformation. We've all but stripped her inside and out with plans to change out that ever dreaded holding tank. I know so many here have done extensive work on their boats and linked so many terrific helpful sites/photos while they underwent their transformations. We will hopefully set up a site and post our photos as they become available. We have taken out most of the woodwork to re-finish in our garage this winter leaving her bare and open through-out her hull. I'm sure as the warmer weather arrives and her guts are still dissasembled we'll be kicking ourselves for taking on such a huge project. But, we're both determined to make her sparkle as she once did in 85'. The purpose of this thread is to thank the many experienced and seasoned individuals that have contributed over the years to this dedicated and loved hobby/lifestyle. Stay tuned for more of our trials and tribulations as Lonesomedove breathes new life! Happy Cruising! Laurie and TJ

Good Luck!

I'll be doing the same with a "TLC" boat in the next couple of years. It's the only way to realize the dream and still stay solvent!

Me Too....

Me Too... I have a 37C "on the hard" in my back yard. Convenient to work on, when I am home. I plan to post projects and pictures, too.... --jerry
