Yes, it’s stressful buying a boat! Many sleepless nights for me when purchasing the two sailboats that I have owned. Good thing is that you’ve owned boats in the past, so you have sailing experience......just like riding a bike, your lost skills will resurface. Mainly need to become familiar with the systems on the new boat.
Very smart move to go with the captain a time or two; hopefully, he is familiar with Beneteau’s.
The Beneteau manual is comprehensive; however, it is primarily an inventory of system components & schematics. Doesn’t really instruct you on how to use it. Be sure to ask the broker to obtain all of the OEM component manuels from the seller; those manual will provide operational instructions & required maintenance. Definitely need the engine manual for operation, service, & troubleshooting. And, don’t hesitate to ask, we’re happy to help you on your new adventure!
