Went out for a little jaunt yesterday for the first time this year. My 85 Hunter performs so well. So I took it out again today with winds 18knts gusting to 30. I normally wouldn't have taken it out because i'm still somewhat of a chicken. But, I thought I would try to sail with just the 110 jib. I've only owned the boat for 9 months and thought that this would be a good chance to sail in heavier air with less sail. It performed extremely well and pointed suprisingly well (at least for me).

So... thanks for all the sail trim advice to all the peeps here.

P.S. my heavy wind docking :cussing::cussing::cussing:

Your braver than I was. Took mine out at 15-17k, no gusts with just the main reefed across the lake and then came back at 12-14k after lunch with the main up and the jib rolled out about 25%. Backed it in the slip at The Harbor for lunch. That was a first for me. Sure feels good to go out again. Still to cool for the Admiral. She has upped the minimum temp. to 75

We took a friend's Seafarer out for a St Pat's/1st Wed PM sail yesterday. Almost 70 degrees, 12 kts SW wind. A great time. It wasn't even painful - as some of the early Wed PM's can be. We cast the demon winter out of our lives for the next nine months.
