I posted the picture of Tioga from the previous thread on Facebook and woke up this morning to find this comment from the Captain.

Houtler And just today she steamed over 200nm (from Woods Hole to the Southern Coast of Maine and back again), recovered a mooring that the, ehem' "experts" were convinced she couldn't handle and is on her way to delivering her passengers and crew safely back ashore in time for the evening news...Yeah, she's that effin' good.

BTW this is one of the people who have spent nearly their entire careers on vessels I designed.

Here is a picture of her loaded with the gear she just retrieved. You can't see the anchors but note the difference in the waterline (see insert from pre departure photo) to get an idea of the weight she can get aboard in open water.

I have an affinity for research vessels, whatever form they take. And you do seem to have the touch.
