There are some really great pictures on the Sydney-Hobart race site. How the photographers got some of these I have no idea - like from water/sea level with the bow of the photographed boat heading straight for the photographer! The pics of Alpha Romeo coming straight at you is taken with a long lens. Notice that Wild Oats on the opposite tack is also in focus. This can only be done with a telephoto lens at a good distance.
