The Great Lakes hold many wrecks. You won't get 30 foot seas, but the steep waves close together make for challenging conditions.

Back in the early 90's I use to scuba dive in Lake Erie. I've often heard that there are more wrecks in the Great Lakes than anywhere else in the world.
We use to take charters and go wreck diving. Lake Erie is pretty shallow and most were in 60ft of water. It's very surreal when you land on one.

i have dove alot of wrecks with osprey charter out of barcelonia ny. the most impressive was the st james in 170 ft of water off long point in canada. the two masts were still standing (one has since fallen) and the anchors were still in place.
