Went to the Newport Boat Show today. I don't think the weather could have been any better, and for the first time in about 15 years, my wife accompanied me. As an added bonus, my 13 year old daughter made her boat show debut.
In any case, after boarding some great boats, I went shopping and found a Helly Hansen autoinflatable PFD for $50. That is not a typo: $50. Its a type II without a harness, but still... $50. Perfect for day sailing on the Sound. The manual model was $30. The vendor? Post Marine from New Rochelle, NY. Ay carumba.
