8 hours sailing today!!!!!!! With 10-12 knot winds, beautiful weather..no threat of any rain or storms. I spied 42 dolphins(I counted) and loved every minute of it.She handles well and heels so sweet. She is grand. The Autopilot is the best thing since sliced bread. Still Rocking :) B/Seadance

Did you name the dolphins? When ever Nancy

and I go out, she picks some critter and tells me "That's Albert". So unless you know which ones you were seeing there may have been only 39 and 3 of them did an encore presentation. ;) Glad you had fun. Ross in Bel Air

Too bad Chris.

I went out yesterday at 2:00 and sailed for 4 hours in 15 knot winds. Just the main up and the waves were practically non-existant. I love winds from the west - keeps the waves down in the Raritan Bay. Biggest problem for me is getting in and out of the dock on gusty days. Once we take the plunge and get past the anxiety of the docking issue, I usually am not disappointed with the sailing.

Worth every penny

She sure is worth every minute. I find myself missing her as soon as I step foot off of her and have a few times told the kids,"okay half hour more....". I have been down at the Marina every day minus a day when it thunderstormed and even then I was worried about her. We have a list of projects and I am so excited about them! We did not make it out to East Ship Island that day as we planned because we would have run out of daylight but I was so happy that I had at least 4 more hours with her to get back to the Marina. On the way out the Ocean Springs Yacht Club had their Regatta and I wish I had my camera to take a picture of all of those sails!. My dolphins..everywhere in the back bay and I was so excited about passing several Shrimp boats because guess who was right behind them. Oh Ross, I've got a favorite that I spotted three different times that has a chipped fin and I've named that one, Seadancer. Promise to keep you all updated with our projects before and after shots and any trips we have:) B/Seadance

So, is this a military marina?

And why didn't you take the last slip so you can get in and out more easily? I know I would have taken last slip opposite your side. Advantage prop walk to port when backing out. Nice marina.

slip

Brian, after we brought her in we thought about taking the last slip.We also changed our slip over by two to the left but the last one is taken by the Harrison County Sherriff's Department. The slip is on Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi in their Marina. I wondered what nm stood for when I saw them in many previous posts and thought it meant "no more" to add kind of thing. If anything I should have na for "nautically amusing" whenever I post. B/Seadance

Thanks

Hi SeaDance - Thanks for the photo of my Catalina 27, Zydeco II. (Still has "Sense of Humor" on the transom) Brian D., the current runs right to left in photos 8 & 9, so the combination of prop walk, the current, and the prevailing westerly winds do challenge the skills of backing out. See ya on the dock….
