Some time last fall I bought a Nicro Day/Night solar vent and installed it to help keep the mildew down in the off season. Seemed to help a great deal. Then, a couple weekends ago, I noticed it wasn't running. After a little diagnosing, I determined the battery and solar panel were fine, but the motor just wouldn't run. My first thought was "Sh*t, I have no idea where the receipt is for this thing, and it wasn't cheap." I know it's still under warranty, but I can't prove it. I don't even remember which month I bought it.Well, I decided to call them anyway and see if I could beg and convince them to give me a break. I never even got that far. I told the guy how I tested it to deduce it was the motor, and he agreed that had to be the problem. Then he asked for my name and address. I was waiting for him to ask me when I bought it, or tell me to pack it up with a copy of the receipt. Instead, he said they'd ship me a new one, just swap out the whole solar panel/battery/motor assembly and send the old one back. No questions asked.That put a big smile on my face. Especially after having just sent my autohelm to the factory for an expensive out of warranty repair.
