greasing the rudder of an Oday 28

According to the periodic maintenance section of my owners manual I need to grease the rudder on my 1987 Oday 28. The manual doesn't say how, and I can't figure out how, to do that. Can anyone help?

I don't know if it is the same, but on my O'Day 31 there is a grease fitting on the rudder tube accessible from the lazarette. It takes a standard grease gun (zerk)fitting

But I can see and get to the rudder post and grease fitting by looking under the aft cabin mattress

found it

I finally found the zerk. It's accessible from the starboard Qtr birth. There's a panel at the back end that once removed I can just reach it.

Does the rudder shaft above the helm's cable stearing system need greased?
