The Navy will be conducting interference testing of the GPS network during the period Dec 4, 2006 to March 31, 2007 in a 25-mi circle around the Pax River Naval Station on the Chesapeake Bay. GPS USERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REPORT ANY GPS SERVICE OUTAGES THAT THEY MAY BE EXPERIENCING DURING THIS TESTING VIA THE NAVIGATION INFORMATION SERVICE (NIS) BY CALLING (703)313-5900 OR BY USING THE NAVCEN'S WEBSITE'S GPS REPORT A PROBLEM WORKSHEET. See link for more details.

They were also moving some of the satellites into a new orbit this summer. Not sure of they're done yet or not. The bulletin I read in the Spring indicated that sporadic signal loss could occur during the transition.
