Can anyone recommend books or charts which contain GPS waypoints for the west coast of Florida. I have been looking but no one seems to have them in stock. Maybe a internet site?? Thanks Rob and DJ

It should be easy enough

Since gps coordinates are nothing more than lat/lpng coordinates, a good chart should provide what you need. I've seen some guidebooks with coordinates, but no publication that solely lists points of interest and their position.

Try Street Atlas USA

I have a program, De Lorme Street Atlas USA that is unbelievablely accurate at locating lat-long anywhere in the US. It's intended for finding street addresses and showing city maps, but you can spot harbor entrances, etc.

Lat/Long Coordinates

They sell books with the Lat & Long for well-known waypoints. Believe it's published by Seward's. Get it at the local West Marine. Doesn't cost much and comes in various regional editions.

Delorme Street Atlas

Nash is right. There is a computer program and also an Atlas that can be purchased from your nearest book store. But the computer program is really great. You can also download your data from your Garmin 48 to the program to verify your waypoints, or to see where you actually went (downloading the track).

GPS locations

Rob, any of the cruising guides include lat/long readings. We're in Clearwater and sail down your way often and the guides clearly give the info. "Cruising Guide to the West Coast of Florida" is great. Pete Burger KAILANI

GPS

Rob, any of the NOAA charts covering the area you're interested in also obviously contain the pertinent lat/long (GPS) readings.
